Hello Community,
I am trying to configure Plymouth on my ArchLinux system, which is currently running KDE Plasma 6, but I am encountering some difficulties. I have looked for documentation and tutorials in various places, but I haven't found anything concrete that works for my specific case.
The few attempts I have made following guides and using tools have resulted in boot issues. The boot sequence does not progress beyond the efistub loader. I would like to avoid having to reinstall the system each time I experiment with new configurations.
If anyone has successfully configured Plymouth with KDE Plasma 6 on ArchLinux or has experience with this setup, I would greatly appreciate your guidance and advice. Any help you can provide would be very welcome.
Additional information about my system:
- Kernel: Linux-zen
- Bootloader: EFISTUB
- Hardware: Intel Core i5 (11th generation), 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 1650
Thank you very much!

I have plymouth working with KDE Plasma 6. Mainly followed this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/plymouth
Edit: Perhaps you forgot to recreate mkinitcpio?

I can't seem to get it to work either. Same set up (Arch/Plasma 6). I installed the package, added the mkinitcpio hook, set a theme and rebuilt my initramfs. It won't play any of the splash screens on boot or even allow me to preview any of them. When I try previewing them I just get an empty virtual terminal with a blinking cursor.
