Xorg doesn't start after recovering broken packages

So my system crashed last night while doing an update which led to Dbus message bus failing each time I booted. So I arch-chrooted using a live usb and found some packages had 'no mtree' hence I had to reinstall all those packages. After rebooting, it booted successfully this time with Dbus and network manager working fine, however startx does not work. Following is the log file contents from

found some packages had 'no mtree' hence I had to reinstall all those packages

"no mtree" means you also lost the database, not that those are the only broken packages.
