Microsoft Edge not showing emojis correctly

Hi all,

Installed Microsoft Edge via the microsoft-edge-stable-bin aur, and also installed noto-emoji-fonts. Yet the browser shows square characters instead of colorful emojis.

fc-list shows that noto emoji font is indeed in the list.

Google Chrome shows the emojis perfectly.

Would appreciate some help! I don't really want to switch to google chrome, as I use Edge on work laptop and my mobile phone as well.
