my unstable db is gone....[SOLVED-sort of]

On my laptop I've been running arch for a few months with no problems. In fact is has become my main computer. I run arch on my desktop too though.

I decided to use aria2 to quicken downloads. I did this on both computers. Everything works great but on the laptop my unstable.db.tar.gz is gone. So it has no record of all my beryl, emerald etc packages and it can't upgrade them. I think maybe when I did pacman-optimize it may have lost the db for unstable?
1)is it possible to repopulate it
2)what would you do?

The message I get when I -Syu is:
aria2 will resume download if the transfer is restarted./var/lib/pacman/unstable.db.tar.gz: No such file or directory

I can see the directory for unstable but it is empty.

As always -Thanks,
McRae

Just restore normal pacman behaviour and run pacman -Sy.

Re: my unstable db is gone....[SOLVED-sort of]

strange : I simply commented the first repository (which was the main arch one) and ran Syu and all went fine. I went back and uncommented it and got the problem again. (shrug) I don't know - I just commented the main arch repo for unstable and all is well - I think maybe this has something to do with running netselect?

Anyway, it's working but I would like to understand the problem.

Thanks,
McRae
