Hey everybody.
I've only ever used Arch for development before, and only on my laptop, but I've recently decided to switch to Arch full time on my desktop. So I'm a newbie when it comes to gaming and using multiple monitors on Arch. It's also my first time posting on this forum.
I am using KDE on X11 using the proprietary NVIDIA drivers. I have my monitors set up properly, However, when I start Steam for the first time after boot, it causes one of my monitors to disconnect. I have 3 monitors, 2 connected with displayport and 1 with DVI. The DVI one is what's disconnecting. (I don't know if its worth noting that the DVI one is a different aspect ratio than the others?)
If I disconnect and reconnect the DVI cable it will work again, and then restarting steam doesn't cause the problem again until I reboot.
If somebody knows what the problem might be I would really appreciate it, as I don't want to re-plug my monitor every time i start my PC.
Edit: Just realized my displays wont start after suspend as well. I should have posted this on newbie corner.
Edit 2: I was able to make the same thing happen when i pressed the detect monitors button in nvidia settings.
Thanks.
