dmenu doesn't show .desktop

Hello in my ~/.local/share/applications/ I have various .desktop files that dmenu doesn't show when I try to search them, I'm sure that those .desktop files work as ROFI sees them and it lets me select them!

dmenu only shows you a list of options and doesn't concern itself what those options are. You'd want something like https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … u-desktop/ for .desktop integration
