Suspend issue: deep (S3) sleep wakes up to black screen

Hello! Usually some searching on the internet helps me solve my problems, but here I am at loss.

Some context before the problem: I underestimated the humidity where I temporarily leave, and my laptop is not working perfectly. Currently 9 in 10 times more or less my laptop will stuck to the DELL logo before BIOS. Or freeze before me unlocking my disk. Else, it will work perfectly. Except that s2idle leads to loosing 5% of battery by hour in suspend (1% before), and the computer stays warm. This will be for another thread.
But makes it difficult for me to reboot many times to diagnose some potential problems.

So because of the battery drain in s2idle, I tried to switch to deep suspend. It is supported by my laptop (Dell Latitude 5400) it seems because appears in /sys/power/mem_sleep ([s2idel] deep).
So when I systemctl suspend, and then wake up the computer, something happens, the keyboard gets lit, but the screen stays black. I tried using the magic sysrq keys to regain keyboard and the reboot, but it does not work, which makes me think that the kernel is not up / not resumed (I forgot how to say that properly).

Here is the output of a journalctl -b -1 after a reboot : https://0x0.st/XTfT.txt
I have an intel CPU, and UHD620 integrated graphics, and an SSD for a disk. I updated the BIOS 3-4 times (it was outdated) and each time it did not work better. I have the latest update currently. Also I tried with a kernel released about 6 months ago, and yesterday updated my whole system and it does not work better.
I have the following settings in the bios: TPM off, absolute disabled, SX software controlled, C-STATES on, Intel Speedshift On, fan control on Cool, virtualization enabled.

Also, I have tried once with an archlinux bootable usb key, and got the same problem.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Suspend issue: deep (S3) sleep wakes up to black screen

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Intel_ … up_from_S3 was a recent regression/thing, but generally S3 implementation in recent-ish laptops is rather theoretical and dell has a really bad track record itr.
In your case the first google hit was https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/ … tude_5400/

Also see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 6#p2178476 (no idea whether that's relevant in your case as  it's obviously on differen HW)
