[SOLVED] Error installing ueberzugpp

[100%] Linking CXX executable ueberzug
CMakeFiles/ueberzug.dir/wayland-xdg-shell-protocol.c.o: file not recognized: file format not recognized

I don't know what to do from here. Help please :')

Is this with ueberzugpp or ueberzugpp-nogl ?
Do you have base-devel installed ?

This kinda looks like you're using an aur helper, does building with makepkg give the same error ?

Try cleaning the build directory and rebuilding the package. If that doesnt work, try checking the wayland-xdg-shell-protocol.c.o to see if its there and not corrupted, just try fetching it again to be sure.

This kinda looks like you're using an aur helper, does building with makepkg give the same error ?

I have not tried installing with makepkg. I will do that right now.

I got it working through makepkg. Idk what's up with the AUR thing. Honestly I should have posted this onto the AUR forums instead. Sorry for the hassle!
