External touchpad working on Laptop but not Desktop

I have a USB Touchpad that is working just fine with my Laptop, but is not working at all with my Desktop-PC. Both PCs run wayland with hyprland. dmesg shows the device, and I can see in when I list the connected devices with hyprctl, but I get no events from the device with "wev" for example.

Any Ideas?

Re: External touchpad working on Laptop but not Desktop

Hello!
I am encountering the same problem on my hyprland machines.
Have you been able to resolve the issue?
In my case the touchpad was reporting vendor id and prouct id of Apple Magi Trackpad, which i assume caused the hid-magicmouse driver to be loaded. On the laptop the touchpad was using hid-multitouch driver. After disabling magicmouse driver with `modprobe -r hid_magicmouse` the touchpad started working on my pc.
