Hi,
I'd like to buy me a new dvd burner. How good are the new SATA DVD-burner supported by the Linux Kernel?

My SATA-burner only burns .isos using the cdrdoa command. Anything else fails, but this is probably because it's a fake SATA-device: it's actually a PATA with a SATA-bridge (it's in my laptop). I should look into it, but haven't had the time yet.
I imagine they're regarded as SCSI-devices. Although I can't tell for sure as I haven't used a native SATA-burner yet.
A bus station is where a bus stops.
A train station is where a train stops.
On my desk I have a workstation.

Same problem with my sata-burner since a few month. I can't remember exactly when it stopped to work. (mkinitcpio?, kernel 2.6.19?)
