I use an Asus Xonar DGX sound card.
It is also recognized and produces sound.
However, I get the following message, which is probably related to "wireplumber"
spa.alsa: Failed to set volume of 'Mic': Das Argument ist ungültig

Is something not working? If not Ignore it. That sound card and it's driver has some special controls and wireplumber trying to control the "default" of a Mic is likely running into troubles here that aren't going to matter in the long run.

The microphone does not work.
Otherwise the card works perfectly

As said the card is weird, if you plug a mic into the front panel, you actually have a "physical" switch to switch between the back panel outputs and the front panel out/inputs, check
amixer -c0 #or whatever the index of aplay -l gives you for the card
whether you can flip the channel mode from "Multichannel" to Headphones+FP and whether that makes a difference for the mic ... potentially at the cost of the speakers if they're at the back.

I have also connected the cable to the rear off/on input, but the microphone does not work.
