Hello Arch community. I updated my system this morning (sudo pacman -Suy) and now KDE is booting to a blank screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left and the mouse, but no desktop. You can see from the pacman.log below it's mostly pipewire updates. I tried rolling back the updated packages (except for the kernel) thinking one of the packages broke something, and tried un/reinstalling the plasma-meta package, but neither helped. Nothing is jumping out at me in the boot log so was hoping someone here had some ideas. Let me know if you need any more details and as always, thank you in advance!

Does the sddm screen show up? Have you tried reinstalling sddm?

Thanks for the reply benm. The sddm login screen does not show up. Just tried reinstalling sddm and that did not help. However, I installed gdm and it started up just fine. I was even able to login to kde w/o issue so at least I have a workaround for the moment.

I finally figured out what happened. I forgot I changed the SDDM theme from Breeze to Elarun. Changing it back to Breeze, SDDM loaded normally again.
