[SOLVED] Conflicting packages and dependencies

Lately I have been unable to update my system because of multiple conflicting packages which I have no idea how to fix

This is the result from running sudo pacman -Syu

:: Starting full system upgrade...
:: Replace dbus-python with extra/python-dbus? [Y/n]
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
:: ffmpeg-2:7.0.1-1 and ffmpeg-obs-6.1.1-10 are in conflict. Remove ffmpeg-obs? [y/N]
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: ffmpeg-2:7.0.1-1 and ffmpeg-obs-6.1.1-10 are in conflict

If anyone knows how to fix this let me know please.

Re: [SOLVED] Conflicting packages and dependencies

You need to update ffmpeg-obs as well. That may mean switching to ffmpeg temporarily, or it may mean building the new version and adding it to a local repo.

Re: [SOLVED] Conflicting packages and dependencies

This is probably unrelated to your problems but you might want to work through your pacnew files. The community repository was merged into extra more than a year ago

Please use [code][/code] tags. Edit your post in this regard.

qt5-webkit actually hinges on the icu update but is like obs-studio-tytan652 and yuzu an AUR package that you'll have to rebuild for the update, so remove the packages, update the system and then rebuild them (not just re-install them from the cache!)

Mod note: not an installation issue, moving to AUR Issues.

Alright! It's been fixed! Just uninstalled the packages that were in conflict and reinstalled them after upgrading the packages. Unfortunately because Yuzu was taken down, I am unable to reinstall it via pacman or the AUR, so I will have to find another way to install it for just switch to Ryujinx!

Thank you!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
