Laptop cannot boot after 1 year of power off

Hi,

I have a DELL laptop with ArhcLinux which was booting up fine before I stored it. Now when I tried to boot up it after 1 year first thing I noticed was a message about the date was wrong. I guess the CMOS battery was drained? So I corrected the date.

But still Arch is not booting up correctly I get following messages:

"ERROR: device 'UUID=...' not found. Skipping fsch.
mount /new_root: can't find UUID=.....
ERROR: Failed to mount 'UUID....' on real root
Your are now being dropped into an emergency shell.
sh: can't access tty: Job control turned off
[rootfs ]#"

Could this mean the SSD disk is dead? Or maybe some BIOS setting were reset? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Laptop cannot boot after 1 year of power off

Boot using a monthly Arch ISO from a USB flash drive, an optical disc or a network with PXE. (Do not follow any of the rest of the installation guide.) Then mount those partitions and see if they're dead or not.
