Lenovo snd_hda_intel sound headphones issue

I've got Arch running quite nicely on a Lenovo 3000 n100. I've been playing around with the sound for weeks, it works fine, except for the headphones issue. Plugging in headphones works but doesn't mute the laptop speakers, which is pretty annoying. I've searched all over the internet, nothing has worked so far. I've installed a custom kernel from source, and used ARCH kernels, I've compiled alsa-driver from source, 1.0.13 and 1.0.14rc1, none of which gives me a headphones option in alsamixer. I've played with different module options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-eapd position_fix=1
The only way to turn the speakers off is to mute the external amplifier, which quiets the headphones and makes the sound distorted. Anyone out there have this card working perfectly?

I'll continue searching online and post if I find anything, thanks!

I'm not sure if this will help, but most likely worth checking out:

I've made another post, but I can't get any sound (I have the same chip as you). Did you have this problem?

Which kernel are you running? I had the same problems, but when upgrading to kernel 2.6.19.1 Everything worked out just fine. Alsa had released a patch which was applied in that kernel. Even my internal microphone worked on my laptop.

cheers
