Automatic Logouts

The Problem:

* I connect remotely using AnyDesk.
* Occasionally, upon unlocking the remote screen, I find myself logged out.
* There seems to be no consistent trigger or interval for these logouts.
* Using `last` shows I'm still logged in at the time of the apparent logout.

Troubleshooting Steps:

* Verified with `last` that the system claims I'm still logged in when the lockout occurs.
* Checked system logs with `journalctl` pastebin log.
* This issue might have started after a GPU change (GT 1030 -> Sapphire Radeon RX 6600).
* Booting after the GPU change produces unusual, rapid beeps.

* I'm unsure if the log messages (pasted above) are related to the logouts.
* Any guidance on interpreting the logs and resolving the automatic logouts would be greatly appreciated.
* Additionally, if anyone has encountered similar issues after a GPU change, I'd appreciate their insights.

**Log Snippet (I powered on my pc only once today at 8.16):**

Sorry if I made it unclear and without disrespect but this happens also when  I am at home (no anydesk). But most of the time I am remote. So maybe it's hardware related because of the graphics card? I hope you sort it at the most relevant place smile

Re: Automatic Logouts

Ah, thanks for clarifying. In that case I think you had the correct subforum.

Mod note: moving back to Kernel and Hardware.

Re: Automatic Logouts

Maybe you should try to reinstall the AMDGPU Driver?I think the driver is the problem

std::cout << "I use Arch BTW" << endl;

Re: Automatic Logouts

The error is in the amdgpu kernel module and the OP doesn't seem to be using xf86-video-amdgpu, radeonsi_dri.so is from MESA and a strong indication of the modesetting driver.
xf86-video-amdgpu *might* sidestep the specific crash, but other reports revolve around GL clients like games and browsers etc. and those would be still affected

Re: Automatic Logouts

I had to reinstall the whole system. I will check in the next days if the problem remains.
I also have the rx6600 and as I understand and reading this I do not need to install any extra driver for this, right?
