Whenever I open a PDF, the "white part" with no writing is transparent and the letters are unreadable. This PDF in particular acts weird because it flashes white to black, though usually others remain black. https://filestore.scouting.org/filestor … 001_AB.pdf

The pdf has a transparent background (what is common) and FF seems to cycle between the canvas and the page background color.
Same in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Firefo … shoot_Mode ?
Ie. problem w/ an extension or (dark) theme?

That's rather odd.
I can see where the troubleshooting mode prevents this, but not how it'd fix the system.
Feel free to reluctantly mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.

This started happening again, turning on troubleshoot mode removes it but once i turn it off it returns, any ideas on a solution?

Try HW acceleration first (it's not the vide acceleration but GL based general rendering)
X11 or wayland? In the latter case a native client or do you r un FF on xwayland?
