I'm trying to use AMDGPU PRO and I installed it using the amdgpu-pro-installer And I installed It as guided on https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AMDGPU … stallation by cloning the repo and then installing it with makepkg
However. When I "test it" with running " progl glmark " I get the next error:
/usr/bin/progl: line 30: 5926 Segmentation fault (core dumped) "$@"

What's your actual GPU? amdgpu-pro dropped support for some of the earlier GCN1 cards.
And generally speaking you are plainly not going to miss much with it not working.

wasn't aware of the progl sitch
tested with furmark - and got disapointed
board msi b550-a pro
cpu 5600
gpu 7700xt
ram 2x 16gb 3600mhz
with mesa: about 400fps
with amdgpu-pro: only about 320fps
fun fact: with amdgpu-pro the frame times were constant below 1ms - so I should had gotten 1.000+ fps
tldr: unless you need amdgpu-pro for somethibg specific - the default mesa drivers get better results

Mod note: moving to AUR Issues

$ progl glmark2
/usr/bin/progl: line 30: 42799 Segmentation fault (core dumped) "$@"
$ vk_pro vkmark
Error: vk::createInstance: ErrorIncompatibleDriver

RX480 is definitely a card that got dropped from support.

RX480 is definitely a card that got dropped from support.
It's a GCN4 card, and it's mentioned on AMD's Linux drivers download page, the latest drivers are also on RX 480's drivers page (and also in the latest release's notes), so I doubt it's dropped from support

before I got my rx7700 I had a rx570 - and the last driver worked was q4/23 - with q1/24 support dropped for that series
