Using KDE Plasma on wayland + linux-hardened + nvidia-dkms (with modeset=1 and fbdev=1, if that's relevant).
After a certain amount of inactivity time, Plasma turns off the signal to the screen to save power, which causes it to enter sleep mode (without suspending the computer). Once I wake it up, the screen will quickly turn off and on when switching windows as if I was changing the screen resolution. Turning the monitor off and then on manually also triggers this issue.
This only happens on my monitor with a high refresh rate (144hz) and not on the lower refresh rate one. Switching it to a lower refresh rate and then switching back seems to fix the issue.
I don't see any relevant messages on journalctl or dmesg.
