System:
- NVIDIA RTX 4090
- Intel Core i9-12900K
- 32GB RAM
- Arch Linux x86_64
- Plasma 6.1.2
- Kernel 6.9.9-arch1-1
When I launch Wayland from the console using the command "/usr/lib/plasma-dbus-run-session-if-needed /usr/bin/startplasma-wayland", I get a black screen with some glitchy-looking short colourful lines on my screen for a few seconds until the screen goes all-black and Plasma has successfully launched (when I use my keyboard's audio volume control knob, I hear the sound it plays). The same Plasma install works fine with Xorg.
Fixes I have tried:
- My /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf:
options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 NVreg_UsePageAttributeTable=1
options nvidia_drm modeset=1 fbdev1
- Those same lines in /etc/kernel/cmdline and running "sudo mkinitcpio -P"
- Making a new user and trying with them
- Deleting ~/.config/kwinoutputconfig.json
Anyone got some other fixes? Perhaps I should try another DE/WM?

If you drop the fbdev parameter, do you get the same issue?
