[SOLVED] How to create shortcuts with gnome nautilus / cmd line

In my file system I want to have shortcuts between folders, that means one folder holds the actual information, and the other one has a link that, if I was browsing with nautilus or through cmd, would move me to the folder with the information. This seems like something I could have solved with a web search, but most guides I found on shortcuts were for applications and applied only to the desktop, not something I could have replicated. I would just like to know pretty straightforwardly EITHER how to create such a shortcut inside of bash, or if there is a simple way inside of nautilus that will allow me to do it with it's GUI. Thanks in advance, sorry if the answer was easy to find somewhere, sorry if it's too vague.

[SOLVED] I was looking for a "symlink"
