[SOLVED] How do I keep certain dns resolution when using network manag

I have just read the network manager section on resolv.conf that you can stop it changing it but I don't know if that should be done and why it changes it in the first place as in will it mess stuff up if I tell it to stop changing it?

I want to set permanent privacy respecting DNS resolution like I used to use before on my other computer. On that one I was not using a network manager and had set the resolv.conf to immutable. Not sure if that is appropriate with now using network manager.

So how to achieve this without interrupting the functionality?

EDIT: I set it as per the DNS management wiki. Have yet to reboot to see if it sticks but shall mark as solved for now.
