Changing the date-time format in the GNOME top bar

Hi!

I would like to change the date-time format in the GNOME top bar (specifically, I'd like to remove the day of week, have the month displayed as a number and add the year), but I can't find a way to do that.

I tried:
1) Going to "Settings -> System -> Date & Time -> Clock & Calendar". Some things can be changed from there, but not what I want.
2) Installing the GNOME Tweaks application, as someone on the Internet suggested. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything related to the top bar there.

Please, help.

Thanks!

@Head_on_a_Stick: they aren't particularly good, but thanks for the link anyway!

There are several gnome extensions already written which will allow you to change the date-time format in the top bar. https://extensions.gnome.org

You just answered your own question. There are four options there including Week Day. Toggle what you want / don't want.

By the way, Week Day is not default to begin with, so you can disable it the same way you enabled it.
