Since the past few weeks, I find that after few seconds of no sound playback and/or upon logging out, the sound card seems to automatically disable and a static sound appears on the speakers. I have disable the automute option on alsamixer. How do I prevent this auto disable of my sound card? I have an HDA Intel PCH Soundcard and am using the latest updated Arch Linux. Kindly help.
