[Solved] Wifi disconnects after some time

I recently installed Arch and I've been encountering a scenario where my WiFi network keeps disconnecting and connecting all the time.

I saw reports in a post here and the problem is exactly the same. However, the problem still remains here.

Re: [Solved] Wifi disconnects after some time

Hello Leonardo, welcome to the boards smile

Please edit your post to enclose the terminal output in code tags, it will make it _much_ easier to read.

If you're using NetworkManager to connect then you should disable systemd-networkd, it should be be enabled at the same time. That might fix things.

If it doesn't fix things, try this in a file at /etc/modprobe.d/rtl.conf:

options rtw88_pci disable_aspm=yes
options rtw88_core disable_lps_deep=yes

Reboot to test, remove the file if it has no effect.

And also esp. the iwd.service, if you want to use iwd as NM backend see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … Fi_backend

Re: [Solved] Wifi disconnects after some time

I'm using WM Hyprland here.... Since I disabled Network Manager and left only systemd-networkd, my wifi hasn't dropped anymore. I chose the installation to copy the IWCTL WIFI configuration. However, one thing that still catches my attention is the WIFI speed, which seems to be a little slow. I'm doing more tests here and I'll get back to you.

One more detail, when I tried to use the Network Manager, it did not connect to the WIFI, always asking for a password but with the correct password being entered.

Thank you for now.

Re: [Solved] Wifi disconnects after some time

Dear Friends,

The solution was to use a driver from the aur repo.

yay -S rtl88x2bu-dkms-git

echo "88x2bu" | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/88x2bu.conf

sudo reboot

The equipment's LED even started to work, which was not the case before, and the speed also improved.

Thank you all for your help.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
