Suddenly no DP output

I have a Framework Laptop 16. I have been using the laptop with a DP Expansion Card connected to Slot 2, which outputs the display to an external monitor. However the laptop suddenly stopped outputting to the screen today. I updated the linux kernel to the latest version but that was no good. Every time I detach then reconnect the DP cable, both the laptop and the monitor seem to indicate that an handshake is being attempted, but does not succeed. What commands do I need to use to pull up relevant logs and troubleshoot the issue? One relevant fact is that two or more of the slots sometimes are not powered properly after waking up from a suspension.

Did the DP break w/ the kernel update or before?
Is the LTS kernel affected?
