[SOLVED] Upgrading from guile 3.0.9-1 to 3.0.10-1 file system issue

I am having trouble upgrading guile.  I have been able to upgrade all other packages just fine and have finally narrowed my issue down to the guile package.  When u[pgrading guile, it appears to complete correctly, but in just a few seconds, my root file system becomes read only and I need to shutdown in order to recover.  Does anyone have any thoughts on what might cause this behavior?

What if anything is recorded in the system journal from the time the root file-system becomes read only? What on system was using guile at that time?

Thank you for the suggestion, checking the journal revealed a btrfs error.  I was able to fix with a brtfsck --repair.
