Wlr-Randr failed to connect to display

Hi there, I don't know too much about how wlr-randr, wlroots and everything works but after a recent reinstallation of hyprland when I try to log in both of my monitors just show no signal. After looking online I checked wlr-randr but it just has the output "failed to connect to display". I am using an AMD gpu currently and the only similar issues I have seen are with nvidia gpus. Any help at all would be appreciated.

hyprland doesn't use wlroots in current versions anymore. Use the hyprland docs: https://wiki.hyprland.org/Configuring/Monitors/
