.dmg VAX COFF file

What in the world do I do with this.

Yep, it is a mac disk image.  I found something here,
http://baghira.sourceforge.net/dmg.htm
But that did not work. 
The weird part is the `file` output.  It says it is a VAX COFF file, so I looked that up.  A VAX is a basement-scale monstrosity from the eighties for "polynomial computation".  It should be a CD image.  I am stumped.

What kernel error message do you get when you try to mount the .dmg?
