Hey gang,
A week ago I noticed that on my laptops dipslay there was all-colored pixels cluttering together and flashing, especially in the top 10% of the monitor, but really across the entire screen, pretty much making work on the laptop impossible.
If I hook up an external monitor the issue is still seen on the laptop but not on the external monitor, leading me to believe its a hardware issue. However if I boot into the BIOS or Windows, or even GRUB, the issue it not seen at all.
If I boot Arch without an SDDM, ie. just to a terminal the pixels still show up and flickering with every beat of the cursor. Opening something like btop seems to stop it.
This happens both with x11 and wayland (which might be obvious because it also happens in the tty).
Intel Arc video card in this one. Any ideas?
Best,
Lau

Update: Tried booting in Windows. No issue whatsoever.
The issue starts 2 lines after leaving GRUB, says Init Ram FS or some such and then the kernel starts booting and immediately the issue presents.
When I get into a tty I can run btop, which actually stops the issue.

Update: I installed the linux-lts kernel, updated GRUB and rebooted. This fixed the issue.
