Alsa and IEC958

Hello everybody around.

I'm trying to get my microphone running on this machine. It's an onboard soundcard, and i'm currently about to disable it, and put in another card.

Still, last try:

I'm using alsa (suprise). I can actually hear the microphoneon the speakers, so they are enabled.

I've enabled the microphone as well as the CAPTURE in alsa, though, nothing to record as it seems .

Actually, it seems as if it has digital and analog interface. This could actually be why the sound is not working.

If you can go Integrated, do it.  Absolutely no problems whatsoever, but you're not going to get anything fancy.
