Hey guys
I have recently installed Arch on my laptop(Acer Aspire 7) and want to work with my printer
So what I did was install lp , cups , printing manager , and my device drive(which is capt-src from AUR)
Now the thing is , After all this my OS was able to recognise my Printer but when I tried printing a test page it changed its status to processing and nothing got printed after that and it remained on processing
Please help me fix this issue
SOLVED IT
I don't really know how I just kept repeating the steps mentioned in cups and capt-src from the wiki and it worked
If I can recall the exact things it was like this
1. Install cups, usbutils , system-config-printer from pacman(enable and start cups)
2. check if your device recognizes your printer by running command 'lsusb'
3. install capt-src with yay or paru(this is what I used)
4. Follow the steps which are given by capt-src just after installation(you may google if something does not work)
5. after everything , try printing a test page to check if everything worked correctly or not
I hope i was able to help someone and if it didn't work , then sorry I might have unintentionally forgotten something since It took a lot of time for me to get this thing worked and its difficult to memorize each and everything

Is the printer connected over network or USB ?
You did follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Canon_CAPT to configure it ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
