I cant update repository - "No space left on device"

Hi, i am trying to update my first Arch Linux

# pacman -Syu

But i get errors "no space left".
df -h shows no problems with free space

Are you trying to run pacman -Syu while booted from an arch install iso ?

If yes, please explain why you feel that is needed ?
