EAC3 (DD+) Passthrough Problems

Hi all,

I'm using an Onkyo AV receiver that is connected via HDMI to my arch box. I used to watch perfectly fine via passthrough EAC3 (DD+) movies/streams over KODI a couple of months back. But now all of a sudden it is buggy. The audio is there for a few seconds and drops again and picks up again after a few seconds etc. VLC doesn't like such files at all. Playing such files as stereo works. Also, playing without passthrough works. I believe this started when the switch to pipewire from pulseaudio happened - but I'm not entirely sure (I hadn't updated for quite some time). KODI logs don't give useful information. Anyone else here having issues? Or maybe someone able to give me some hints how to narrow down the issue in the whole audio/video stack?

Any help is really appreciated smile

Re: EAC3 (DD+) Passthrough Problems

Just one other thing I wanted to mention: Other passthrough formats like AC3 work flawlessly. The problem specifically occurs with EAC3.
