Arch64 or Gentoo64 ?

After wanting to get the full speed from my hardware, im moving to 64bit, after reading into things abit i have a few issues:

1)Is skype easy to install/get working on arch64? (Gentoo has an amd64 ebuild)

2)Are the fglrx drivers easy to install, i dont realy want loads of problems.

3)Any remote chance of flash player?

I mentioned gentoo as it has 64bit ebuilds for all the apps i want.

gentoo64 is more mature than arch64. Arch64 is developed as true 64bit distro without 32bit-emul libs

arch64 is a native 64bit distro, it does not contain 32 bit binaries and libraries.

1) Setting up Skype is easy. Search for Skype and you'll find what I did to get it running.

3) Flash will work in 32 bit Opera which will run if you get Skype running. I don't know if nspluginwrapper is working yet.

In that case ill go 64bit Arch

32bit is ultra fast as it is, cant wait for 64

I don't want to be a party pooper but from what I've heard arch32 and arch64 don't make much of a difference on desktop.

I don't understand your topic. Gentoo and Arch64 have different intentions. But now you doubt if you should go 64bit at all. Hm.

Why don't you test Arch64 in a dual boot system to see if it fits your needs?

The only thing it doesnt have is flash, bu t who uses that anyway???
