Hi there!
I have had my Arch install frozen for a month or so, and thought that I would update it now.
To freeze the install I used the archive.archlinux.org server, and stuck it to the date of 7 July 2024.
So, in order to get back up to date, I generated a new mirrorlist with Arch's handy mirrorlist generator, and uncommented the worldwide servers.
Now when I run sudo packman -Suy, I get the following output:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
multilib is up to date
linuxkernels.db failed to download
error: failed retrieving file 'linuxkernels.db' from nhameh.ovh : Could not resolve host: nhameh.ovh
warning: fatal error from nhameh.ovh, skipping for the remainder of this transaction
error: failed to synchronize all databases (invalid url for server)I can indeed not ping nhameh.ovh. What is the most expedient way to get around this issue and back up to speed?
Kind regards,
-Evert-

it failed on the 3rd party repo you have there ("linuxkernels.db"). check and edit your pacman.conf.
(also, remove community repo, it is now empty, everything moved to extra)

Hi there!
Yes, that third party repo was the issue in this case. Thanks for the tip, as well as removing community repo.
Kind regards

Hello there!
I think that something is wrong with your third party repo, so i suggest you comment that repo out in /etc/pacman.conf
