Dell Latitude 7440 Camera is not working

Hey Folks,

I am currently running arch on my Lat7440 and oh wonder my camera isn't working.
So, I read a lot of threads and now my conclusion...I am stupid as hell because I couldn’t getting it to work. I've tried every workaround but it will not work.

So, is there anybody who can explain it step by step for me...explain it like i am 5, please.

You are not stupid, because this camera is difficult to make it work.

Did You read this ArchLinux Wiki article about Latitude7440?

From this Wiki article (section 1.5) You can obtain link for this bbs forum post, where You can find step by step solution.

If You are not expirienced, or just something else... this forum's post is mentioning GitHub project "archlinux-ipu6-webcam" which you can also try.

I am afraid, I cannot help you more, because I do not have Latitude7440, only Latitude 5xxx and 6xxx.

And did you try read logs from journalctl, is there any significant?

Output from command lsusb (ID of device) will be also good for searching more information. There are webs like linux-hardware.org, where You can find more info.
