[solved] code-oss regressions

I'm experiencing regressions using code 1.92.1-1 and code-marketplace 1.90.0-1, around CLI usage. Used to work but does not work anymore:
`code .` expected to open a new window in current dir.
`EDITOR=code --wait` used to work with vidir but doesn't do anything anymore.
`code foobar` used to create a new empty file named foobar in current dir, but does nothing.
`code --new-window` with no instances running used to open a new window but does nothing.

Unsure where to start looking for a fix. The github repo has too many issues for any search I perform and I'm not sure what keywords to use. Thought I'd post here first since it might be related to arch.
