That's https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/opencl-amd/ which has https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/open … ent-949758 at the top and is an alternative to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/open … mdgpu-pro/
Remove that?

Finally a clue. I already tried the rusticl packages to no avail. How can I down grade those two packages to the specified version? Do I have to find the PKGFILE for those versions?

I already tried the rusticl packages to no avail.
While any of the other opencl providers was still installed?

I don't know. Should I try that again or just downgrade those two packages and call it a day?

Get rid of anything but rustic and try that first - you cannot indefinitely pin an old version and from the looks, polaris and vega are no longer supported by rocm.

So what packages do I need to remove exactly?

local/opencl-amd 1:6.2.0-1 needs to go
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

And after that DR should run fine? do I need to run it with progl or any other special environment variable?
Offline
You will need RUSTICL_ENABLE=radeonsi for 2 reasons :
rusticl is disabled by default
the autodetect driver capabilities of rusticl are not great
Run & post clinfo before trying DR .
DR does start with my RX580 and rusticl, but that's with my mesa-minimal-git package.
I don't know how well repo mesa handles it and don't use DR myself, so no idea how well it performs.
