I simply can't believe that no one has officially mentioned that Arch64 community is a living, breathing repository.

huh?

Did I miss something? I remember a few blurbs here and there about the coming official 64 bit 'community' repo, but now it's being propagated very quickly.
EDIT--->>>>
Err, I just read my post. I see what you mean.

What? there's a [community] repository for Arch64 now? Nobody told me! :-S
I didn't get your post because when you said Arch64 community, I thought you were talking about "the community" -- the people involved in it.

Gentleman (and ladies), edit your /etc/pacman.conf files!
This is awesome, and welcome news

I only uploaded a few packages; so I would not talk about "living, breathing repository". If there is something you are missing there, please let me know.

The last two packages that I use all the time that haven't appeared in any of the official 64 bit repos are OpenNTPD and MTink.

just checked it out
there isnt many there is there LOL
spose it will get bigger with time
still good to see it is up and running tho
Offline
We are just building it up. I will send an announcement to the ML if the most important packages are available.
Currently there are some problems with the repository not accepting any new packages.
Offline
Great news, I might just install arch64 once i get time. Its looks to be catching up. I guess the next step is unstable? (Theres some good packages there)
Offline
There are no plans to use the unstable repo at the moment. But this might change in the future.
We don't have the manpower to get all stable stuff ported and keep it up to date. So there's no way to play with svn stuff in the near future.
Offline
so what will happen to the previous community64 repo? if i enable [community] in pacman.conf do i need to disable [community64]? will there be any conflicts?

you can enable both repos. if a package will be in both repos you can still decide which to choose using "pacman -S reponame/foo.pgk".

Do you think we can get the e17 packages and/or maybe transmission?

I'm packaging Transmission-svn in my tiny (but growing) arch64 repo.
P.S. Sorry for necroposting
