Background noise being picked up by all microphones
Been trying to get any of my microphones working properly, but there is an awful background noise that does not go off even when the microphones' volume is at 0. Tried with two pair of bluetooth microphones and the laptop's. I already have mic boost and capture set at 0 in alsamixer, and tried to quieten that noise by lowering the microphone's volume and by using noisetorch. None of this things worked.

Have you tried muting the mic *playback*?
Cause otherwise you'll get a feedback loop (I assume "awful background noise" does not refer to your significant other chit-chatting in the back of the room? 
)
