Xfce's systray not working

I have installed Xfce4 from the testing repo. So far so good, but I can't get the system tray to work. Every time I try to add it to a panel I get the following message: Could not open "systray" module.

The xfce4-systray package is installed though. Anyone experience the same or have a solution?
