Aha! a fellow tahoma lover! Unfortunatly I use Trebuchet MS because otherwise openoffice looks really screwed up. Trebuchet MS is very similar to tahoma though.

@freigeist: Does usinf beyrl still drag the FPS in 3D apps down? Last time I tried it (was with gnome though, not standalone) all opengl apps were like 25% slower.

No drop down in glxgears for me...but my laptop anyway uses a really slow radeon 7500 mobility card...just try it, installation of beryl is really easy nowadays

Hm.. I get ~6000 without and ~1500 with beryl activated. Weird.
