Arduino ide not working

Hi,
I installed extra/arduino-ide 2.3.2-1 and firstly it takes too long to open and secondly and more important it's missing the toolbar on top (File, edit, etc)
I am unable to save any sketch even with ctrl+s. I get the message
Error invoking remote method 'Arduino:ShowSaveDialog': Error: No handler registered for 'Arduino:ShowSaveDialog'

I am using kde if that matters.
Can anyone else install it and report to see if that is a bug or it's only me?

I also ran into this issue, and I found this thread about it: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=295681
As suggested in that thread, I tried the AUR package arduino-ide-bin, and that seems to work fine
