I recently switched my default browser from Firefox to brave-nightly.
I'm using the AwesomeWM.
My issue now is, whenever I open a web link in an email through Thunderbird, it still defaults to Firefox. Even though I've changed my default local browser to brave-nightly in my rc.lua, it still opens Firefox from Thunderbird.
I've looked for solutions online but they all say to go to Menu > Preferences > Config Editor... but there is no "Menu" option...
Another one says Tools -> Options... I have Tools, but no "Options".
I am using Thunderbird 115.14.0 (64-bit) which should be the most current since I just did an update.
System Info:
Arch Linux 6.10.9-arch1-2
13th Gen i7-13700KF (24 CPU) 5.4Ghz
I've probably got more than enough of what's required for disk and RAM space too (Over 4TB Free of disk space and 63GB of RAM Free).
So, I have no idea where to go from here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have to change the default web browser for xdg-open
xdg-settings set default-web-browser the_desktop_file_of_your_browser.desktop
possibly
xdg-settings set default-web-browser brave-browser.desktop
#or
xdg-settings set default-web-browser brave.desktop
