[SOLVED] Touchpad doesn't workon HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0000nh

I can't get the touchpad (ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad, according to Ubuntu xinput) to work on my laptop.

I got it to work on Ubunutu using the following GRUB configs:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash psmouse.proto=bare"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop"

I am using i3-wm (or at least trying to use, I'm still an Arch and i3 newbie).

How can I get it to work?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the Ubuntu GRUB configuration in Arch?

I got it working. The touchpad shows up as a PS/2 Mouse, but I already knew it would and I don't really mind it.

Somewhat curiously, by adding the parameters to the default Arch GRUB config didn't seem to do anything, but with the default Ubuntu GRUB config, it works.

Here's the modified Ubuntu config in case someone needs it:

# If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
# /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
# For full documentation of the options in this file, see:
#   info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration'

GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden
GRUB_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`( . /etc/os-release; echo ${NAME:-Ubuntu} ) 2>/dev/null || echo Ubuntu`
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash psmouse.proto=bare"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnpi8042.noloop"
