Hello,
so as far as I am aware the lowest Bluetooth version of either the controller or peripheral is used. I know that I can get the version of the controller with
btmgmt infoand the version of the peripheral is usually included in the product description BUT... how do you:
1. Check the version of the peripheral with a command
2. Get an explicit confirmation on what version is being used for a currently connected device
Ideally, through bluetoothctl because it feels like it should include such features and it's the command I use for pairing etc. I did look at the documentation of bluetoothctl, but got overwhelmed. I also found a thread on how to check the version of the peripheral, but it uses the deprecated hcitool.
Thank you!
