how to get blur & transparent terminal on GNOME ?

I want to keep my GNOME, I just want to have blur effect & transparency.

I was able to use transparency, but blur effect requires more steps.

Can someone tell me, how to set it up, as all previous, look a lot outdated. And there was [Blur Me](https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/4236/blur-me/) extension, which doesn't work on latest GNOME 46 anymore.

I've seen, I need to set up some compositior, but I haven't found clear instructions yet, what exactly to change.

Currently I have tilix, and have transparency, and supposedly supports blur, when I change blur setting in there, it does nothing. So what now ?

Re: how to get blur & transparent terminal on GNOME ?

I had the same problem, but I figured it out just now.

I have gnome-terminal-transparency installed and already configured it transparent by the way.

Here's my solution:

Firstly, yay -S gnome-shell-extension-blur-my-shell(remember to reboot),

then go to the extensions and activate blur-my-shell,

go to the settings and turn on the "applications blur",

finally, turn on "enable all by default", and then turn off "opaque focused window".

now you get a blur and transparent terminal.
