"Internal data stream error" Gstreamer granule -104

gst-play-1.0 doesn't play some audio files, and neither do Clementine, Quod Libet or Totem. However these same files are playing fine with ffplay, Audacious and VLC. I can't figure out what is the source of the problem.

Another hint: I can play them with VLC on Android, but «Music» and «Google Play Music» «[don't] support this type of audio file».

You can download an audio sample here.

Terminal output

GST_DEBUG=1 gst-play-1.0 FILE.ogg

Any ideas?

Re: "Internal data stream error" Gstreamer granule -104

i get an error in quod libet and strawberry from what i've tried, and it goes as follows;

../gstreamer/subprojects/gst-plugins-good/gst/isomp4/qtdemux.c(7423): gst_qtdemux_loop (): /GstPlayBin3:pipeline-1-pipeline/GstURIDecodeBin3:uridecodebin3/GstURISourceBin:urisourcebin0/GstParseBin:parsebin0/GstQTDemux:qtdemux1: streaming stopped, reason not-negotiated (-4)

have you found a solution yet ?

The thread is 7 years old, it's extremely unlikely you have the same issue.

Make sure your system is up to date, make a new thread and post which gst-plugins you've installed and which files you're trying to play.

Closing this old thread.
