Recently I have had problems doing shopping using Linux & PayPal.
When directing to PayPal, the payment web page looks like ancient one (from 1990's almost), text only. Impossible to continue with it.
Same happens if I just google PayPal Buyer Protection, and then watch these PayPal instructions.
Workaround has been using Windows...anyone knows what's the matter here (and I can switch back to Linux) ?
I think that the problem could be in PayPal web pages...but hard to believe, they should test them as any professional programmer does.
I have this problem with my two computers (laptop & desktop)..running Arch Linux. Desktop's Arch is recently (about month ago) installed.
Browsers: Google Chrome (aur) and Firefox (extra).

I doubt it's an error on paypals end - it would affect millions of users
likely it's something on your end - maybe some dns stuff or others intercepting traffic like adblock
you can try clean chromium (from extras repo) without any additional modifications and clean dns path (if you have something like pihole - disable it - give chromium direct access to the internet)
if problem persits we need a whole more explanations

Actually..one possibility is recent update of my DSL router Asus DSL-N16 (using Cu phone line).
Before xmas that will be substituted by fiber-optic Internet and another router, but maybe I'll try previous firmware.
Can also be my some changes done by my Internet operator..I think speeds have been slightly lower lately.
The operator(s) will close those old Cu lines anyway soon, so they probably don't do much repairs at the moment.
I'll keep this post open for a while if someone has a new idea, but will mark it 'solved' soon enough.

This looks like some styling could not be loaded. It would be a broken DNS, overzealous adblocking, or other networking issues.
You could try looking at the dev tools' network tab or browser console (Ctrl + j) to check what's happening.
You could try another browser (Firefox) and enable DoH to check DNS (it's almost always DNS)

Seems that I have no problem anymore, the PayPal instructions page loads okay (did not do it earlier). I suppose the payment page is also okay, but of course will see it next time I pay by PayPal.
I have done nothing..so magic seems happened here.
